On 8 March, the Women's Day East Turkestan Press Release was held in Istanbul.

In accordance with International Women's Day on 8 March, East Turkistan’s Nuzugum Family and Culture Association, IHH Women's wing, Refugee Rights Association, East Turkistan Human Rights Watch Association (ETHR), Malaysia Muslim Youth Organization (ABIM) and humanitarian organizations in East Turkistan, especially the International Union of East Turkistan Organizations (IUETO) organized an East Turkistan Press Release on 8-March Women's Day in Fatih, Istanbul in order to speak out about the cry of oppressed women who are deprived of their rights in East Turkistan.

The press release started with the speech of Mrs. Fatima Az Zahra, a deputy leader from ABIM. Afterward, it continued with a speech from Mrs. Müzeyyen Taşçı, Head of the IHH Women's wing. It followed with an address by Mrs. Münevver Özuygur, President of East Turkistan Nuzugum Family and Culture Association, and concluded with the reading of a press release.

Representatives and leaders of essential NGOs in Turkiye, national channels, activists, and nearly a hundred women from the Turkish public attended the press release.
